// SUPPLY_CHAIN_REPORT_v1.0
WE SHOW
OUR WORK.
No vague “eco” claims. No offsetting without evidence. Here is exactly what we commit to — and how you can verify it yourself.
// HONEST_DISCLAIMER
We work in AI. We know it uses terawatts. We're not going to lecture you about your carbon footprint — that’s not why we're here.
We show supply chain data because we appreciate transparency, not because we’re activists. Think of it as open-sourcing the product: materials, factory, certifications, numbers — all readable, all verifiable.
// COMMITMENTS
GOTS_CERTIFICATION
All cotton fabrics are certified under the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS). GOTS is globally recognised as the toughest processing standard for organic fibres. Chain of custody documentation available on request. Verify at global-standard.org.
PRINT_ON_DEMAND_FULFILMENT
ByteWear uses print-on-demand fulfilment via Printful’s EU facility in Riga, Latvia. No inventory is held — each item is printed and shipped only when ordered, eliminating overproduction waste and dead stock. Blank garments are sourced from GOTS-certified organic cotton suppliers. Printful facilities maintain WRAP certification (Worldwide Responsible Accredited Production) covering social compliance, health, safety, and environmental standards.
DIGITAL_PRODUCT_PASSPORTS
Every ByteWear product ships with a Digital Product Passport (DPP): a machine-readable record of carbon footprint (kg CO₂e), factory location, materials composition, GOTS certification status, and recyclability rating — accessible via QR code or the public API at byte-wear.com/api/v1/products. ByteWear products average 2.3 kg CO₂e per unit across Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions (materials production, manufacturing, and shipping), compared to an industry average of 8–12 kg CO₂e for conventional garments (Hot or Cool Institute, 2023). The reduction is driven by three factors: GOTS-certified organic cotton (lower upstream emissions than conventional cotton), print-on-demand manufacturing (no overproduction), and Printful's EU fulfilment network (shorter shipping distances for European customers). All data is sourced directly from the supply chain API and updated per product version.
RECYCLED_PACKAGING
All shipping packaging uses 100% recycled and recyclable materials. No plastic poly-bags. The fashion industry produces 92 million tonnes of textile waste per year (UNEP, 2023) — eliminating plastic packaging is a non-negotiable baseline.
CARBON_OFFSET_PROGRAM
Verified carbon offset purchasing per order. To be launched with third-party registry integration in v1.1.
TAKE_BACK_SCHEME
Product return and recycling programme for end-of-life garments. Roadmap item for v1.2.
