// ORDERING_&_SIZING

How does sizing work?+
ByteWear runs true to size. Our heavyweight tee and hoodie are available in XS–3XL. Each product page includes a detailed size guide with chest, length, and sleeve measurements in both cm and inches.
Can I modify or cancel my order?+
Orders can be modified or cancelled within 2 hours of placement by contacting support. After that, the order enters production and cannot be changed. Orders requiring manual confirmation (>€150) have a longer window.
Do you restock sold-out products?+
Yes — products are versioned like software. When we restock, we may introduce minor improvements (v1.1, v1.2). Sign up to the newsletter to get notified when a new batch drops.

// SHIPPING_&_DELIVERY

How long does production take?+
Each item is printed on demand after you order. Production typically takes 2–5 business days before it ships.
How long does shipping take?+
Estimated delivery after dispatch varies by destination. EU: typically 2–7 business days (varies by country) · UK: 4–7 business days · USA/Canada: 5–10 business days · Rest of world: 7–14 business days. Exact estimates are shown at checkout. All orders ship with tracking.
How much does shipping cost?+
Shipping is calculated live at checkout based on your destination and order weight — no markup. There is no free shipping threshold at this time.
Do you ship worldwide?+
Yes. We ship to most countries. Import duties and local taxes for orders outside the EU are the responsibility of the customer.
Can I track my order?+
Yes. Once your order ships you'll receive a tracking link by email. You can also find it in your order confirmation.

// RETURNS_&_QUALITY

Can I return an item because I changed my mind or ordered the wrong size?+
ByteWear products are made to order specifically for you — your item didn't exist until you ordered it, so we can't accept returns for size or change of mind. Use the size guide before ordering. (EU Directive 2011/83/EU Art. 16(c) applies.)
What if my item arrives defective, misprinted, or damaged?+
Email us at support@byte-wear.com within 30 days of delivery with your order number and photos of the issue. We'll handle a claim on your behalf and arrange a free reprint or refund. Claims submitted after 30 days cannot be accepted.
What if my order never arrived?+
If your tracking hasn't updated and you believe your order is lost in transit, contact us within 30 days of the estimated delivery date. We'll investigate with the carrier and, if confirmed lost, arrange a reprint or refund at no cost to you. Note: if tracking shows 'delivered' but you didn't receive it, we're unable to cover a reprint in that case.
What if my package is being returned to sender?+
Packages can be returned if the address was undeliverable, unclaimed at customs, or refused. Once it arrives back at our facility you'll be notified. You have 30 days from that notification to reship it. Reshipping costs apply if the return was due to an incorrect address or unclaimed customs.
What is covered vs. not covered?+
Covered (within 30 days): defective print, wrong item sent, damaged in transit, lost in transit. Not covered: ordered wrong size, changed your mind, colour looks different on screen vs. real life, claim submitted after 30 days.
How is print quality ensured?+
Garments are produced using direct-to-film (DTF) printing with colour profiles calibrated per fabric type. Every item is quality-checked before dispatch.

// DIGITAL_PRODUCT_PASSPORTS

What is a Digital Product Passport (DPP)?+
A DPP is a structured data record attached to each physical product. It contains: materials composition, carbon footprint (kg CO₂e), manufacturing location, certifications, and recyclability rating. You can scan the QR code on the garment tag or visit /passport/[product-id].
Is the DPP data live?+
Yes. The DPP data is pulled live from our Supabase database, not hardcoded. The passport page shows a ✓ live data indicator when connected.
Why does ByteWear use DPPs?+
The EU Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR), which entered into force in July 2024, mandates Digital Product Passports for priority product categories including textiles. Apparel is one of the first sectors in scope as implementing acts are developed. We built DPPs in 2026 because transparency should be the default, not a compliance checkbox.

// AI_&_API

What is the ByteWear API?+
Every product is available via a structured REST API at /api/v1/products. Responses support both JSON and text/markdown content negotiation. You can browse, filter, and retrieve full product specs programmatically.
Can AI agents interact with ByteWear?+
Yes — by design. ByteWear ships an AI plugin manifest at /.well-known/ai-plugin.json and an OpenAPI spec at /api/openapi.yaml. Agents can browse the catalog, retrieve product specs, and submit checkout requests programmatically. Payment completion is handled via Stripe's browser-based checkout, so a human confirms and pays.
Is the API free to use?+
The public catalog API (/api/v1/products) is free and unauthenticated. Rate limits apply for abuse prevention. No API key required to read product data.
